The purpose of this meeting, as directed by the bylaws is as follows: 

"A general business meeting will be held once a year. The business meeting will be held for the purpose of meeting each other in person, and to nominate, elect and to vote in new board members and new officers; to discuss and review past accomplishments and to plan the activities for the coming year."
